Weaving Rainbows

Weaving Rainbows

The world’s first Pasifika LQBTQIA mini-doco series meets the extremely varied people who make up the Island rainbow community. The show shares intimate insights into the lives of our LGBTQIA aiga (family): the joys, challenges, celebrations and negotiations with the world that are involved in day to day living.

These portraits of our diverse communities capture moments of pathos and humour, but more then anything they show the triumph of spirit and the alofa (love) that is shared so widely with this aiga around the Pasifika region.

Weaving Rainbows was made for the Coconet, two of whose previous shows were named winners at #NZWF16. The F Word won our Special Interest award; Fasitua Amosa won the Outstanding Vlogger award.

Weaving Rainbows is selected for #NZWF18 in the NZ Factual category, and will play in the screening programme Crayons.
